Blennerhassett Lodge #79The Fraternal Order of Police is a lodge made up of current or honorably retired officers at the city, county, state, and federal levels from the Wood County area. The F.O.P. is a non-profit organization that supports the area with a variety of projects. For example, the Needy Food Project, F.O.P. College Scholarship Program, Police Widows Support Project and Shop With A Cop program among others, provides money and/or items to different groups of citizens. The F.O.P. also makes numerous donations during the course of the year to different school groups requesting funds, mainly in the area of athletics. At this time, there are approximately 170 members in this lodge. |
